Baby(ies) First: Dedication

This weekend was a special one for our family.  We dedicated Parker and Jolie among friends and family on Saturday afternoon – and what a fun day it was!  Our home group is filled with young children, and we planned over the summer to do a huge baby dedication all together – and January 31st the planning came together.
Our church doesn’t necessarily find it important to host a baby dedication on a Sunday, in a church, and in front of the congregation.  It is simply an outward expression to guide your littles and planting the Seed of Life in them, so that they may grow up to know the Lord and make the decision of acceptance.  We did have our home group pastor from our church come to share scripture and guidance through the afternoon – but it was sup to us, the parents, to share responsibility of being sole leaders among this sea of  babies we have in our group.

Each family chose scripture to share as our life motto for our family, and we chose Proverbs 3:3-4
Let not the steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart.  So you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man.

After all was said – we invited immediate family to come and lay hands on us as we prayed over our decision as parents to dedicate Parker and Jolie.

..and then it was time to eat!  There were lots of people, but there was a boatload of homemade goodies, too!

The cake.  My sweet friend, Jacqueline was so sweet to spend so much effort into making this absolutely delicious cake for the celebration.

My family- I am a way proud mama bear.  These girls and their daddy make my heart full.

After the dedication, we went back to BB & Papa’s for a few small gifts and to eat (more food) dinner together.  I was very grateful for friends and family that came to celebrate this milestone with us!

Congratulations on the twins' dedication! What an awesome feeling that is isn't it? Sofia had her dedication on the 11th of Jan and I was just so proud when it happened. Now it's exciting to know that your girls have done the same!
