funny funny thing about these booties I’m wearing.. they are my all time favorite pair of shoes. they have been worn so well and up until a few weeks ago the heel was basically peeling off and there were more close calls of falling completely on my face than I’d like to admit. it was time to retire. BUT before making any rash decisions I decided to test the true abilities of my local cobbler’s hand and lo and behold these grey doll babies were brought back to life!
as I was checking out he asked me what in the world was all over them.. I assumed he was speaking of the junk I had dredged them through over the last couple years and shrugged it off and went on my way. after getting home and putting them on for the first time since they were repaired I realized what he was speaking of.. the poor folks worked and worked to remove the layer of SUEDE and revealed the soft leather underneath. they had been worn down over the years so there were basically just patches of suede remaining.
its like they are a different boot! I still love ’em. suede or not.
