one. pumpkins pumpkins pumpkinswe hit up our local pumpkin patch this week- it opened over the weekend and Jordan and I took the kids after we picked up Baker from preschool on Tuesday and it was the perfect time- we were basically the only ones there during that time. I love this patch because there are more than just pumpkins- I make the girls entertain me with pictures and then they run crazy in and out of bounce houses, through the hay maze and popping in and out of the character figures.Jordan loves to walk the long rows of pumpkins and pick out the perfect one to bring home.  we particularly favor the really tall and skinny or the short and squatty with really long stalks:) we have been coming here every year since the twins very first halloween and the more kiddos we add the more fun it becomes- creating memories like these are really close to my heart. we’ve grown out of the single wagon:)LOOK how big those twins are!!!  I love these little ladies more and more every day- the sweetest souls they have turned into.  this patch is also a farm with cows and horses and goats.. and pot belly PIGGIES! these baby pigs were just about 24 hours old and I have never seen something more cute in my entire life!  we may or may not have given her our information about picking one up in about 8 weeks from now.  just what we need- a pig.  Jordan is also prepping the back for chickens and bees, so that pig will fit right in, I suppose.. thats a different blog post for another day.

two. fall scents when I mentioned in my fall bucket list about burning the most delicious smelling fall candles I was introduced to Astleigh, blogger over at darling do and the creator of twine + cotton.  she sent me a couple of her AMAZING hand-poured, soy, wood wick apothecary candles and not only are they absolutely beautiful to display, my house currently smells of the perfect blend of pumpkin + vanilla + and spice cookies. I also grabbed hometown harvest fair and I WISH you could scratch and sniff how yummy these smell!  grab one for yourself with code AMBERMASSEY10!

three. camp gladiator if you have been reading here for awhile you kinda know my workout routine.  I get this question A LOT – truth be told I didn’t really workout before I had Baker.  I was an athlete in high school and picked up running in college and kept up with that for a handful of years but nothing very consistent.  I was introduced to camp gladiator right after Baker turned a year old and I have fallen in love with it! I gained muscle I didn’t know I could gain and strength in my body after wear and tear of a twin pregnancy. my first week of camp I couldn’t do a sit up, could barely keep up a jog for longer than about 50 yards and carried 5 pound dumbbells.  I’ve come a long way but I workout with men and women everyday that are in the same boat I was in.  so this is definitely something for all athletic abilities!

periodically they offer discounted camps and right now they are offering their four week camp for $50 (normally $189). click here to see if there is a camp location near you and when registering use code LEVELUP.  if you don’t mind to include my email address as your referral (ambermariemassey@gmail.com). we do get “points” for referrals and we can use those towards our monthly membership (I am a BOLD member, which means I pay every month like a gym membership versus paying for each camp) or for CG gear..and I’m saving my points for the infamous CG mat!

four. fall shopping love + major SALEeven though its still hitting the high 80’s here I’m falling in love with FALL.  fall clothing is amazing and my favorite time of year to shop.  Stitch Fix is KILLING it with their fall pieces and everyday when I’m styling my clients I’m also making wishlist for myself!

a couple weeks ago I did some shopping for my birthday and came upon some really amazing items for a great price.. including this cozy sweater and these jeans.. that basically feel like butter. this dress inspired our entire fall family photo shoot (need to find a bowtie for Jordan!) and even better.. my all time favorite boyfriend cardigan is on sale for 40% off using code FALLFEST.  I have every color that is offered and while it seems overzealous of me, they are an incredible basic.  I got the rich citron color to layer over the dress for our family photos! its more of a mustard than citron, if you ask me. I grabbed this sweater (size up for a true boyfriend fit) and this top (true to size!) along with these really cute jeans to pair with it! I added a “shop” section to the nav bar- I’ve been trying to link everything there for easy shopping:)

five. rooted village

I am super eager + overwhelmed with both excitement and a little fear as I announce our participation in an amazing ministry to families. we were approached by Natalie to be one of the founding families for this online membership community called rooted village– offering encouragement and community for families when life is just a little bit crazy.  understanding that we are not alone in this parenthood walk- it is pretty amazing how many of us live such parallel lives in our stories, testimonies as we wade through the muck and mire (along with the pure joy!!) in raising a God loving family. the world seems to be upside down right now and I cannot express enough the importance of rooted community.

Take it from someone who had a pig in suburbia, you don’t want to do it. They are sweet but A LOT of work!! They root constantly and will tear up your yard. They also want to eat constantly. It’s kind of like having a permanent toddler.

  2. The pumpkin patch is one of the best places to be in the fall!! So glad you love the candles!! Have a wonderful weekend!

  3. Alex says:

Would love to know what shoes you’re going to wear with that dress for your pictures!! I’ve been looking for a dress in that color for our family pics too!!

    • amber says:

Definitely wearing booties! I have a pair of navy suede booties that will most likely be what I go with 🙂

  4. Christy Sizemore says:

Such a cute outfit! What handbagis that in this picture?! It’s super cute!!

  5. Laura says:

Seeing pumpkins in such straight lines is so funny! I live in Philly so we go to the fields where the pumpkins grow, so they are all over the place! I like the neatness of yours much better! 🙂 Glad you had fun!

Hey girl! I did CG a while back and really liked it. I have a 14 month old and need to get back working out! Are you able to bring your kids? My husband leaves for work at 6 a.m. so working out when he is able to be home isn’t really an option. When I went before it was an early class and no one had kids with them but maybe at later morning ones they do? Thanks!

    • amber says:

Yep! we bring our crew everyday! Ive been going to the later morning classes (8:30a and 9:30am) and just bring toys and things to entertain my kiddos while we are working out. There are usually 6-10 kids at our later workouts!
