6+ Popular Fall Decor Trends (2022)

Fall is here. It looks a little different for our family this year. But what hasn’t changed is the joy of getting a break from the high temperatures in Texas. We can’t quite break out the scarves and sweaters, but I will take any lower temps I can get. September is my birthday month. Typically we go to the pumpkin patch, pick out an assortment of pumpkins and start decorating the front porch. I really love transitioning our home inside and outside. There are so many staple fall decor trends that can easily be carried into the winter season. I love incorporating different patterns throughout the house to make each room unique and inviting.

Here are some popular fall decor trends that are easy on the wallet.

Doormats

Easily transition your porch scape with some simple and inviting mats. Your front door welcome mats are the first thing people will see as they enter your home. There are so many great options from Etsy (I love small shops). You can go festive or go the more traditional route – either way, you can’t go wrong.

Candles

As simple as it seems, candles can really set the mood. Anthropologie candles have never disappointed me. Always so fragrant and these candles last a good amount of time. I usually go for the iconic Volcano candles. This holiday-inspired, Pumpkin Clove has a slight scent of orange zest.

Pumpkins

Can it even be fall if you don’t have pumpkins displayed all over your home?! But seriously, I’m adding a few options that could be an option in multiple rooms. I really love adding the glass pumpkins to a shelf in our kitchen for an added accent piece. Ceramic pumpkins, pumpkin pillow, small velvet pumpkins. There can never be enough. More is best IMO.

Throw Blankets & Pillows

I love to layer our sofas and chairs with throw blankets. The kids love to curl up on the sofa and bring all the blankets and pillows with them. We love the Anthropologie Chunky Knit throw blanket and The Sis Kiss buttery soft throw.

Wreaths

Wreaths are a great accent piece and can be used in other areas other than your front door. There are so many beautiful options and a variety for all styles. My top favorites include the wooden bead wreaths, hoop wreaths and faux pampas wreaths.

Coffee Mugs

Maybe not everyone considers this fall home decor, but there are some really fun and seasonal coffee mugs out there. And you know me, you know my love for coffee and my Nespresso. Coffee is one of my love languages. Anthropologie always has some really unique mugs. I’ve also found some really fun ones on Etsy too. I like to change my mugs to fit the season.

What is the pumpkin patch y’all went to this past weekend? Ran (i think) by the fire chief.
