busy days in comfort + style with Carter’s

this post is sponsored by Carter’s; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

we hit the ground running with some fun things lined up for the week and started with the annual monarch butterfly festival. Auntie went last year and raved about it, so we put it on the calendar to take the kids when it finally opened up this year.  we had so much fun learning about the butterflies before we went- I showed the girls a couple youtube videos about the way they transform from caterpillars to butterflies and they were even more excited to see them in real life! we walked into the observatory, not totally sure what to expect, and much to their joy and excitement there were butterflies everywhere! they would flutter around and land on our shoulders, in our hair, and hands. the big girls LOVED it. they were so gentle and calm while interacting with the butterflies. the organizers gave us q-tips dipped in gatorade before walking in and if you stuck the tip close to the butterfly’s face it would hop right on.

her little freckles across her nose give me all the heart eyes.
Brady had a blast, too! didn’t pay any mind to the ones taking a ride. it made me laugh so hard!  we left with a monarch in a new bug keeper as well as two little cocoons! we’re waiting for them to turn into butterflies so we can release them all into our backyard!before heading home for the day we made a stop at a nursery to grab some small trees for the front flowerbeds and I convinced Jordan to let me bring some of these pretty succulents home, too! some how our days always become full to the brim on Jordan’s off days- but we love to run errands together and plan activities as a family, so we pile it all in where when can! but that also means we are in and out if the car for parts of the day and I’ve come to look to comfort in clothing for my kids for this very reason. we are a busy group and while I want my girls and Brady to look put together + cute, I want them to be comfortable sitting in their carseats, toddling around, and playing together, too!
if you’ve followed here for long you know that all four of my kids have worn Carter’s brand clothing from birth- perfectly fitting sleep & plays, bodysuits, and precious baby outfit sets. during a baby’s first year, its all about the baby basics, fit for any occasion, and Carter’s always has what I’m looking for.  I appreciate the one-stop-shop, and no one does the coordinating outfits better than Carter’s 🙂

my favorite go-to when dressing my kids in their first year (and beyond) has been Carter’s.  when the the the big girls were born, there wasn’t a whole lot that fit them outside of Carter’s brand. they wore their babysoft sets, sleep and plays, and the original bodysuit well through their first year of life, and Baker followed suit with the sweetest hand-me-downs fitting her like a glove.

when I was pregnant with Brady I filled his drawers with the best of Carter’s baby boy basics: sleepers + onesies. my number one go to when my babies are brand new. over the last year, Brady has continued to wear, and his closet is filled with some of my favorite trendy selections from Carter’s.  its all about the baby essentials, fit for any occasion, and Carter’s always has what I’m looking for.  I appreciate the one-stop-shop, and no one does the coordinating outfits (for boys and girls!) better than Carter’s.my favorite for summer are cotton tees, tanks, and shorts for Brady like the tank and shorts he’s wearing in these photos!

lightweight + breathable for the Texas heat.
