Top Mother-In-Law Gifts This Holiday Season

I sat down with BB the other week to get some ideas for what a mother-in-law really wants for gifts this holiday season. I love giving gifts and I think I’m pretty good at it. Don’t get me wrong. I enjoy receiving gifts, but I get so much joy giving out of giving –  more than I do to receive. Even though one of my skill sets is gift-giving, there are times I run out of gift ideas for BB.

If you are like me and sometimes scramble at the last minute to get something for your mother-in-law, you will for sure find something here from BB’s suggestions. Because we all know, we still want to impress our partner’s mom.

Let’s Get Cozy

Who doesn’t love to curl up and get cozy during the colder months? There are very few things that top spending some time in PJs, grabbing a blanket, and hanging on the sofa. Ok, maybe Baylor’s camera cheese face is better. But turn on a Lifetime or Hallmark Movie, put on the Barefoot Dreams Cardigan, light the Volcano Candle and call it a perfect day. Here are some of BB’s comfy picks.

Gifts for Around the Kitchen

If your MIL enjoys spending time in the kitchen #actsofservice, adding some new pieces to the aesthetics of her kitchen is always a fun and unique gift. I recently came across the store, Pepper and Vetiver. They have so many unique pieces for the kitchen but also for any room in your home. These Capri Tea Towels come in a set of 3 and will go perfect in any kitchen. Pepper and Vetiver is giving a discount this season. Use code MASSEY15 for 15% off your purchase.

Tea Towels

One-shot or two? When BB comes over, she LOVES using the Nespresso with the Frother. You could make a cute gift basket to go along and add some of your favorite pods and a cute mug.

For the Practical MIL

I am all for practical gifts. I know they will be used and are really appreciated. I’m glad BB mentioned these because, I honestly, don’t know if I would gift some of these.

  • Home Chef subscription! I would have never thought to give this as a gift. But this is a fun one to give. Your MIL can order meals as needed and it gives her the opportunity to try new recipes.
  • Floral subscription box. This is a gift that is enjoyed all year long. This brand has subscription options for sending floral arrangements once a month, bi-weekly or weekly. There are also different tiers to pick from. Maybe I should tell Jordan about this one for me!
  • Perfume is always a great gift. This can be expensive to buy for yourself so it’s always nice if someone gifts it to you.
  • Chatbooks are a perfect gift for the holidays. You can create a book that captures memories from the entire year. Or you could even plan to create a monthly Chatbook and send one every month.
  • Spa Day. It’s hard to schedule time for yourself. Planning a spa day, morning or afternoon for your MIL would be so appreciated. You could do this together or let her go alone. If you wanted to make a girls’ day out of it, you could pick her up after her services and do lunch or an early dinner. Having a day to be spoiled is so special.
  • Tula Primer. BB loves Tula as much as I do and the primer is one of her favorites.

Simple but Meaningful

BB said for any MIL who are grandparents (humans or fur babies) would really appreciate a simple but classy necklace with all the grandkids’ initials. Here are some pretty ones we found on Etsy.

Whatever gift you give, it truly is always that thought that counts. If you want more gift ideas, check out Top Gifts for Women.
